I have been an advocate as an educator.
With 16 years of experience in education, I have had the opportunity to advocate for children as a classroom teacher, as a special education administrator, and as a campus administrator. These roles as an education professional have provided me with a great amount of experience and perspective. In addition, I am also a parent of children with special needs.
As a parent, I am an advocate.
As a parent of three children with special needs, I have always and will always advocate for the them. My two oldest daughters received special education services when they were in school. They are 30 and 31 now. Our youngest is 12, and he receives special education services as well.
